AIA Singapore announces leadership change
AIA Singapore has appointed Alvin Fu, who is currently the Chief Corporate Solution Officer, as Chief Distribution Officer. The firm will also promote Kenneth Tan to the role of Chief Corporate Solutions Officer. These appointments will come into effect from May 1. Both will report to Wong Sze Keed, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Singapore.
Alvin will succeed Chin Chung Wen, who will be retiring at the end of April after over 30 years of service with AIA Singapore where he started as a Management Assistant.
Alvin joined AIA in December 2015 as Chief Corporate Solutions Officer, and has since elevated AIA to become the largest employee benefits insurance provider in Singapore.
Kenneth joined AIA in February 2016, quickly progressing to his present role as Head of Business Underwriting and Operations for Corporate Solutions. Both passionate and capable, he has developed expertise and business acumen in product pricing, development, valuation, strategy and portfolio management for AIA’s health and corporate solutions portfolios.
On Alvin’s appointment, Wong Sze Keed, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Singapore, said, “Alvin is highly driven, customer-centric and has led a series of business-critical transformation projects to increase customer retention with much success. At the same time, I am confident that Kenneth will be a strong addition to our management team and lead the Corporate Solutions business to greater heights. More importantly, I would like to underscore AIA’s commitment to talent development and internal mobility to ensure we give the best opportunities to our people who are committed to delivering the best outcomes for our customers.”
