Bumble appoints Salesforce’s David Ard as Chief People Officer
Bumble Inc. has announced the appointment of David Ard as the Chief People Officer, with immediate effect.
In his new role, David brings around three decades of experience across software technology, luxury fitness, retail, food and beverage, media, and consulting sectors. He most recently served at Salesforce as the Senior Vice President of Employee Success. He will be responsible for spearheading the company’s people and work strategies including, creating a positive work culture, talent acquisition and development, and ensuring employees's well-being and engagement.
In his previous roles, David worked with Slack as the Senior Vice President, Head of Employee Success, Equinox as the Executive VP and Chief People Officer, and Gap Inc as the Senior Vice President and Global Head of People & Culture and Communications. His core competencies include HR strategy, culture change, mergers & acquisitions, creative strategy, executive search recruitment, change management, performance management, talent acquisition, HR transformation, project management, strategic planning, employee engagement, organisational development, talent management, and training and development.
Along with David, the company also welcomed Ali Rayl as the Chief Product Officer, Antoine Leblond as Chief Technology Officer, and Selby Drummond as the Chief Marketing Officer. They will work directly with the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Lidiane Jones.
