Condé Nast appoints new Chief People Officer

Condé Nast has appointed Stan Duncan as the new Chief People Officer, In his new role, he will oversee the company’s global people organizations and lead all human resources functions, including talent acquisition, talent development, diversity and inclusion, executive compensation and total rewards, employment practices, HR technology, workforce planning and strategic business partnering.

“Stan is a transformational human resources leader who builds organizational capability and innovates businesses,” said Roger Lynch, CEO of Condé Nast. “His global experience and in-depth knowledge of multiple industries uniquely equip him to help Condé Nast as we work to unify and develop our global team and enter our next phase of growth.”

Duncan brings deep strategic and functional HR experience having led large-scale global organizations through periods of transformation and growth. Most recently, Duncan was the Chief Human Resources Officer for Raymond James Financial, a company with a distributed workforce and affiliates in over 3,000 locations in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

While at Raymond James, Duncan built people and talent capabilities to support the firm’s achievement of record revenue growth and differentiated the company as an employer of choice and member of Forbes’ 2018 Best Places for Diversity. Prior to that, he served as senior executive vice president, global head of human resources and management for Westfield Group with teams across the U.S., Australia, U.K, New Zealand and Brazil. Before Westfield, Duncan held various HR leadership roles at Aramark, Sterling/Eastman and PPG.

Duncan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Alabama. He is also an active member of the Human Resources Policy Association, and various securities industry organizations.
