Farther appoints ex-Goldman Sachs Ching Tao as new VP, Head of People
WealthTech firm Farther has named ex-Goldman Sachs’ Ching Tao as the new Vice President and Head of People of the company. Tao will headline the company’s talent acquisition and development efforts in her new role.
Taylor Matthews, Co-Founder and CEO of Farther, said, “Ching’s people-empowerment abilities rival only her extensive industry knowledge and experience.”
"Ching is the ideal leader in helping Farther expand, following our successful Series A funding round last month. Her inclusive approach will both strengthen our company and benefit our clients,” added Brad Genser, Farther’s Co-Founder and CTO.
Tao will lead Farther’s efforts to recruit more women and underrepresented professionals, ensuring a diverse representation at the company and being available to benefit clients.
Previously, Tao was serving as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs for fourteen years. She has also worked as Chief Financial Officer at several startups and non-profit organisations such as like SummerSearch, Noah Wealth, and Charter Group Holdings.
“I am excited to join Farther during this period of rapid growth. Recruiting top, diverse talent and continually strengthening our team will translate into more innovation and success for Farther – and an even better client experience,” said Tao.
Farther was founded in 2019 and would look to accelerate its robust recruitment efforts with Tao's hiring. Recently, the firm doubled its headcount to more than 50 employees across the country – including wealth advisors, engineers, and product team members.
