Saxo appoints Mahesh Sethuraman as Singapore CEO

SINGAPORE – Saxo, a leading multi-asset investing and trading platform, has appointed Mahesh Sethuraman as Chief Executive Officer in Singapore, effective immediately.

Mahesh brings over 15 years of leadership experience in global financial services to his new role. He succeeds Adam Reynolds, former CEO for APAC and Singapore, who stepped down after more than a decade of service.

Mahesh joined Saxo in 2018, and most recently served as Country Head of Global Sales Trading in Singapore. Previously, he held roles with Greenfield Advisory as Vice President of FX Advisory, Fulcrum Advisory as Currency Trader, and YES Bank as Associate Vice President. He also worked at ICICI Bank and HP early in his career. In his new position, Mahesh will collaborate with Thomas Qvistgaard Hansen, Deputy CEO and COO, and the Singapore team to drive business growth across the region.

Welcoming Mahesh to the Singapore leadership team, Kim Fournais, Founder and CEO of Saxo, said, “I have utmost confidence that Mahesh will succeed in his new role. Mahesh is a true Saxonian—laser-focused on servicing our clients and partners while running a prudent and compliant business. Entrusting the future leadership of our APAC and MENA businesses to talent within the firm aligns with Saxo’s purpose to ‘allow curious people to be invested in the world’ and will further grow our great talent base.”

Mahesh expressed, “It is an immense honour to lead Saxo Singapore. While I joined Saxo in 2018, my relationship with the company began over a decade ago when I was a satisfied client on the buy side. Having been in Singapore since 2006, I’ve seen Saxo’s growth, but given our comprehensive offerings, there’s still much potential. I’m thrilled to lead Saxo Singapore’s next growth phase alongside Thomas and the wider team.”
