Visa appoints Adeline Kim as country manager for Singapore and Brunei

Digital payments service provider Visa has appointed Adeline Kim as its new country manager for Singapore and Brunei. Adeline will be taking over the role from Kunal Chatterjee, who will take on another role at Visa to head up innovation for Asia Pacific.

Adeline has spent over 10 years at Visa in several leadership roles. Most recently, she was the head of data solutions for Asia Pacific based in Singapore and was responsible for leading the strategy, prioritisation, development and delivery of Visa’s data solutions including open data, digital identity, risk solutions and data products.

She was the head of consumer solutions for Asia Pacific. Before Visa, she helmed several leadership roles in Citibank Singapore, United Overseas Bank and Singapore Tourism Board, where she started her career.

“Singapore is my home market, and one of the most dynamic and forward-looking countries in the world. In terms of the payments landscape, Singapore is very advanced and developed in its journey compared to the rest of the world. Visa is an industry leader, and we are well-positioned to drive positive impact for consumers, businesses and the overall payments ecosystem. I look forward to working with our clients, fintechs and regulator to expand more usage and acceptance for digital payments and ensure that consumers and businesses can pay and be paid seamlessly and efficiently,” Adeline Kim said.

Serene Gay, Visa’s Group Country Manager for Regional Southeast Asia, said, “Adeline brings a great depth of industry experience and is a proven leader who has strong relationships with many of our clients and employees in the market."
