Quantcast names Valerie Junger new Chief People Officer

The advertising technology firm has named Valerie Junger as the successor to Sandra McDevitt, with driving DE&I initiatives being one of her responsibilities.

Adtech multinational Quantcast announced last week that Valerie Junger has been appointed Chief People Officer with immediate effect, taking over from Sandra McDevitt, who has moved to Patreon.

Junger has over two decades of HR experience across several industries. Prior to joining Quantcast, she was Chief Human Resources Officer at family office management firm Hillspire LLC, and before that she was Vice President, Human Resources at wireless networking provider Aerohive Networks. She also held HR leadership positions at tech startup Model N and spacecraft systems provider Space Systems Loral.

In her new role, one of Junger's responsibilities will be to drive Quantcast's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, which the company has stated are linked to its broader business goals. CEO Feldman said: “We’ve worked hard to establish a unique and rewarding company culture directly in line with everything Quantcast stands for. Valerie is the proactive leader that can keep our culture top of mind as our company continues to grow. Rather than a human resources team simply following the lead of the business, Valerie will ensure our people have a central role in shaping business strategy.”

Junger said she is excited to work with Feldman. “He’s an impressive leader who has instilled a strong sense of compassion in Quantcast’s approach to supporting its employees during a year of dramatic change for the industry and society,” she described him.
