Workplace Accelerator launches its first cohort

Workplace Accelerator, the startup incubator created by Veremark specifically to focus on HR tech in the APAC region, has this week launched its first cohort of businesses. A total of seven APAC businesses were selected from over a hundred initial applicants, representing four main categories of HR tech: talent acquisition, talent management, productivity and collaboration, and core HR functions. According to the announcement, all seven are revenue generating businesses with collective revenues of over US$100,000 per month.

Daniel Callaghan, CEO of The Workplace Accelerator and Veremark, said: “The Asian HR Tech ecosystem was always going to produce some excellent applicants. We believe that APAC has the potential to leapfrog the rest of the world in terms of digital working and given its expected economic growth rate and massive population can set the new standards in HR Tech adoption.”

The selected businesses will go through a 16-week program involving access to Workplace Accelerator's operating partners, mentors, venture capitalists, and service partners. They will also potentially receive funding from Workplace Accelerator's investment syndicate. The mentors they may connect with include senior leaders from major companies such as Google, Aviva, or DBS.

The seven businesses are:

  • fitbots, an OKR management tool

  • Zetl, a real-time financing management tool

  • Rushowl, a micro transit platform

  • Flowtrack, a productivity measurement and cybersecurity tool

  • Workbean, an organizational culture directory

  • Upup, a mobile micro learning platform

  • Pmaps, a psychometric testing and profiling tool
