People Matters TechHR Singapore: DN Prasad on challenging status quo in HR

In the modern world of work, businesses are reimagining the way they create value and fostering a culture of adaptability. With the rise of AI and AI-based platforms, the work has never been the same anymore. So where does the Human resource factor in? How can leaders empower their employees while leveraging technology to take action on their ambitious plans?

As a sneak peek of our flagship People Matters TechHR Singapore, we interviewed D N Prasad (also known as DNP), Senior Director - People & Organisation at GovTech Singapore for a rapid-fire questionnaire to fuel fire to your burning questions and encourage you to join us at Asia’s Largest People and Work conference.

DNP brings a wealth of experience as an Executive Coach and transformational HR leader, with a track record of leading scaled transformations and nurturing organisational cultures and careers.

Some excerpts from the interview:

How do you empower your team to move from "what if" to "let's do it"?

I believe that it is important to think big, act fast and start small. I also remind my team that always focus on progress over perfection.

What's the secret sauce for taking action on even the most ambitious plans?

Three C’s for me - Courage, Confidence and Competence.

Your take on People Matters TechHR Singapore Conference?

I have been part of the TechHR conference a multitude of times. Hence for me, the highlight is always that we as a leader can engage in a dialogue. We challenge the status quo, we forge communities & connections and most importantly, as a community, we are co-creating what the future could be, can be and must be!

What excites you most about the Business and Orgs track at TechHR?

As Dave Ulrich always says “There is no HR without Business or no Business without HR”. So we are a business and HR plays a critical role in the business.  I am very keen to look at how we can shape leadership and cultures that are inclusive, transformational, innovative and most importantly, put people in the front and centre of decision-making.

Are you thrilled?  You can learn more insights from D.N Prasad, as he will be part of multiple sessions at People Matters TechHR Singapore, on 18th July 2024 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Don’t you miss it!
