Zoomcar appoints Country Heads for Egypt & Philippines
Zoomcar, one of the India's first personal mobility platform, expands its business and operations by stepping foot in the global marketplace, recently announcing two operational head appointments covering EMEA. The self drive car rental platform, to grow its business and expand its reach, named Hany Olama as Vice President and Country Head for Egypt & Gene Angelo as Vice President and Country Head for Philippines.
Thrilled about new appointments and global expansion of the company, Greg Moran, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, Zoomcar mentioned the opportunities presented by lack of vehicle ownership and the issue of affordability in Asian countries like Egypt and the Philippines. He further welcomed newly appointed operational heads and is looking forward to energizing Zoomcar's business, presence and reach in the global market.
With Egypt and Philippines as stepping stones, Moran has an eye aimed at further expansion and growth of the company, focusing on South east Asia and MENA.
Hany Olama, with over 12 years of experience in Marketing, E-commerce sector, general management, FMCG, electronics, SEO, search engine marketing, customer service and entrepreneurship has held a number of leadership and management centered roles in the past. Prior to the recent appointment, Olama worked at Yajny as General Manager. He has worked for a number of other companies in the MENA region including Majid Al Futtaim, RayaShop, EnLight Market research and Advisory, Dare'n'Deal, Vodafone.
Gene Angelo Ferrer, locally known as MrSpeedy, has over a decade's experience in handling and managing clientele, brand management, brand awareness and business operations. He has also held a number of leadership and managerial roles. Ferrer previously worked at Dostavista global as Country Manager where he led the company's entry into the Philippines market in 2018 and managed a record setting year on year growth rate both on daily revenue and total deliveries per day. He has served diverse roles in a number of companies such as Mr. Speedy, SM Supermalls, ABS-CBN Corporation, Aksyon Klima Pilipinas.
Both the appointments come with the company's objective to expand its operations in Southeast Asian as well as Middle eastern countries. The self-drive car rental platform seems adamant to grow its business and create a market presence globally, with its new leadership.
