Cornerstone OnDemand launches an educational platform to help users navigate Covid-19
Cornerstone OnDemand on Tuesday launched a new learning platform, Cornerstone Cares, to provide users around the world with information on how to better navigate the Covid-19 pandemic. The platform, which is free to use and regularly updated, offers online courses in three key areas: infection prevention and control of the virus spread, self-care and stress management, and productivity while working from home.
“We wanted to use our tools to help the community during this crisis,” said Cornerstone Founder and CEO, Adam Miller, pointing to the anxiety and uncertainty that continues to increase around the globe as cases spiral in country after country. The Cornerstone Cares platform, which is developed in collaboration with the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation and Cornerstone's content partners, aims to leverage the company’s massive global reach to spread sound information and good practices.
Stress related to the pandemic has been mounting in recent weeks, such that the World Health Organization on Monday released a 31-point guidance for safeguarding mental health. Likewise, misinformation surrounding Covid-19 and its impact has been spreading so widely that even social media platforms, notoriously cagey about taking action, clamped down on it, and a Wikipedia page was set up simply to track and record the incidence of Covid-19 misinformation. In these times, professionally curated and practically applicable guidance, made freely accessible, is a welcome public service.
