Elon Musk takes charge of Tesla's hiring, demands personal vetting for new recruits

From Twitter antics to Tesla's helm, Elon Musk is widely recognised for his idiosyncratic approach to leadership. Continuing to keep things interesting, the billionaire has introduced fresh guidelines within his company.

The latest mandate from Tesla's CEO asserts that no new hires, contractors included, will be greenlit unless they receive his personal seal of approval.

Reuters reported that Musk has instructed executives to provide him with a weekly roster of hiring requests, emphasising the need for careful consideration before submitting them.

Last week, Musk appointed Linda Yaccarino, former NBCUniversal advertising chief, as the new CEO of Twitter. In a statement on Friday, Musk expressed that bringing Yaccarino on board would enable him to allocate more time towards managing Tesla.

On Tuesday, the billionaire is slated to speak to Tesla shareholders during the automaker's annual meeting, which will be held at the company's headquarters in Austin, Texas.
