AI platform SixSense.ai raises $2.6 mn in Series A funding led by Tin Men Capital

Singapore-based AI platform SixSense.ai has announced that it has raised $2.6 million in Series A funding. The company, which was founded by IIT and NIT alumni Akanksha Jagwani and Avni Agrawal, deals in creating no-code deep space AI models for computer vision platforms.  According to the company, these models will help industries and manufacturers efficiently improve factory product manual inspection.

The funding round was led by Tin Capital, a Singapore-based venture capital firm focused on business-to-business tech startups in South-East Asia.

Tin Men Capital Co-Founder Murli Ravi said, “We have known the SixSense.ai team since their early days and their ability to serve one of the world’s most stringent quality-focused industries proved to us that they are one of the rare few who can achieve this feat. It was easy for us to commit to the team.”

Fifty-member-strong SixSense.ai  is expected to infuse more teeth into its operations with the utilisation of the new fund.

Deep inspections in microchip industries have been a huge concern for manufacturers and industrialists. SixSense.ai’s artificial intelligence platform has been created with the purpose to offset and find solutions to industrial predicaments. The AI-powered platform has a built-in ‘explainability’ feature, that enables factory engineers to understand why defects occur during the inspection and predict anomalies in manufacturing equipment.

Akanksha Jagwani, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SixSense.ai, said, “From my previous work experience as an engineer in manufacturing environments, I have a deep desire to solve the problems our customers face daily. Hence, My co-founder Avni and I wanted to partner with a Series A investor (Tin Men) who identifies with our vision and has the experience to support us in our next stage of growth.
