Aaron Fryer is appointed as the new regional chief financial officer (CFO) for Asia Pacific, effective 1 January.  Aaron will report to the Allianz Asia Pacific regional chief executive George Sartorel and will be based in the Singapore regional office.

Aaron has over 20 years of financial services experience with more than half of it within business roles throughout Southeast Asia. He was previously deputy regional CFO at Allianz before his appointment as the CFO and he also served as Country CFO for Prudential Indonesia before joining Allianz in 2018. He will be supporting Allianz’s growth strategy in Asia, driving performance and value creation, and managing aspects for the finance division including business reporting, actuarial, finance, and risk management. 

Aaron will report to George Sartorel, Allianz’s regional CEO for Asia-Pacific. His role was previously held by Renate Wagner, who will continue to lead as Allianz’s regional head of Life & Health Insurance, Asia Pacific.
