Ex Netflix Director, International Originals and Acquisitions has joined Imagine Entertainment as Executive Vice President, International Content, as per media reports. 

In her new innings with Imagine Entertainment, she will be responsible for expanding the global footprint of the company. 

Commenting on the development, Michael Rosenberg, Imagine Co-Chair, said, “Swati will oversee international opportunities for global content and collaborate with our new divisions, including Documentaries, Kids and Family, Marginal Media and Film and TV.” 

Starting her new journey, Swati Shetty shared that she is excited and grateful for this opportunity to work with Brian, Ron, and Michael.  She said, “With a growing appetite for unique content rooted in diverse cultures from around the world, I believe it’s an incredible time for the business of storytelling.”

Before joining Netflix, Swati Shetty was the Founder, Director for Samosa Stories. In her previous stint, she has also worked for entertainment company Balaji Telefilms as President. At Balaji Telefilms she was responsible for all strategic decisions of the business, building a compelling slate of films, and seeing them through. 

Swati Shetty is a media veteran who has worked with multinational companies such as Disney, Star, and ABC Television Group.
