M&G Investments gets a new head for its business in Asia

Recently in September this year M&G has recently grown its Asian real estate investment portfolio, and invested in Asian equity fund management and research, with four investment professionals based in Hong Kong and Singapore joining the business.

Now as M&G looks to further strengthen its business in Asia, it ropes in Loretta Ng as Head of its Asian business, effective from 1st November. Nov 1. The London-headquartered asset manager continues to invest for long-term strategic growth in the markets of Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and China. And Loetta’s appointment is another step in M&G’s strategy to invest in global markets that offer client development opportunities and scope for future growth.

Graham Mason, Chief International Officer said, “Loretta brings a wealth of experience across different areas of the asset management business, and also has a deep understanding of clients’ needs and an excellent track record of delivering innovative investment solutions that they increasingly demand.”

Before joining M&G, she was last working at Eastspring Investments as Chief Executive Officer of Eastspring Taiwan since 2011.  She has also led marketing for Eastspring Taiwan, and was the Head of product, marketing and business operations for Eastspring Singapore earlier. She has even served on the board of Eastspring’s asset management joint venture in China for three years.

Now in her new role at M&G, Loretta would report to Joffy Willcocks, M&G’s Head of distribution for asset management, and Graham Mason, Chief International Officer, M&G. As M&G seeks to expand in the markets of Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and China, Loretta roles become critical for the asset management company. How she utilizes her networks, years of experience in the industry and helps M&G execute its growth plan for Asia is to look forward to.
