Rocket Companies has appointed Varun Krishna as their new CEO with effect from September 5, 2023. He will be taking over from Bill Emerson, who acted as interim CEO after Jay Farner’s exit from the company.  

In addition to this, Bob Walters will retire from his positions at Rocket Cos. He has been serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the FinTech firm, as well as the CEO of Rocket Mortgage. At that time, Krishna will take over as the new CEO of Rocket Mortgage, while Emerson will assume the roles of President and COO for Rocket Cos.

Assuming his new role, Krishna brings over two decades of strong experience in developing consumer platform strategies for renowned FinTech firms worldwide. Before assuming his new role, he held the position of Executive Vice President and General Manager at Intuit Inc., where he was responsible for overseeing the entire range of consumer and tax products and services, including TurboTax and TurboTax Live, within the consumer group. Under his leadership, TurboTax Live became the most rapidly expanding product in Intuit's history. In past, he acted as Senior Director of Products at PayPal, managing the global consumer product team.
