Paris-based HR tech company CleverConnect raises €5.5 Mn

Paris-based HR tech startup CleverConnect which aims to help everyone find the job that best suits them has completed a funding round of €5.5 Mn led by Sofiouest. Founded in 2010, the company has been self-financed, generating a turnover of €14 million in 2018, which it expects to increase by 40% in 2019.

CleverConnect plans to use the proceeds to invest in research and development, and market its Visiotalent and HRmatch platforms in medium and large companies, both in France and globally. To support this growth, the company plans to hire more than thirty new employees by the end of 2019. On the anvil, are plans to intensify hiring of personnel and marketing investments to consolidate its leadership in Spain, Italy, and Benelux, and to go out to conquer new markets where it can easily develop its solutions.

The HR Tech startup claims to work with over 2,000 companies through all stages of recruitment, including employer branding, sourcing, CV matching, and video interviews through its platforms Visiotalent, Meteojob and HRmatch. With more than 5 million registered jobseekers, Meteojob is one of France’s main job platforms, which employs AI to match candidate profiles with job offers. Meanwhile, Visiotalent is CleverConnects’ video interviewing platform, where candidates can express themselves beyond the CV and demonstrate their “soft skills”. The HRmatch solution was launched in 2018 and it allows companies to automatically and intelligently analyze CVs, identifying the candidates that best fit the vacancies offered.

With over 16.2 million people unemployed in Europe, and more than 50% of employees reporting that they’re dissatisfied with their current jobs, CleverConnect has its work cut out for itself. In 2019, it will further aim to reach the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
