SAP SuccessFactors solutions and Cornerstone OnDemand have been positioned by Gartner, Inc., the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, in the “Leaders” quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Talent Management Suitesreport published this month.

This evaluation is based on completeness of vision and ability to execute, where talent management (TM) suites are defined as helping enterprises manage the key workforce processes of plan to source, acquire to onboard, perform to reward and assess to develop.

As per Gartner, by 2020, 30% of global midmarket and large enterprises will have invested in a cloud-deployed HCM suite for administrative HR and talent management, but will still need to use point solutions for 20% to 30% of their HCM requirements.

According to Gartner, “Leaders demonstrate a market-defining vision for how TM technology can help HR leaders achieve their business objectives. Leaders have the ability to execute against that vision through products and services, and have demonstrated solid business results in the form of revenue and earnings. In the TM suite market, Leaders show a consistent ability to win broad suite deals. They have significant successful customer deployments in North America, EMEA, and Asia/Pacific in a wide variety of industries and with multiple proof points. Other providers in the market often measure themselves against Leaders.”

Other TM vendors that made it to the quadrant include Talentsoft, Skillsoft (SumTotal Systems), Saba Cloud, Saba TalentSpace, Cegid, PageUp, and Haufe.

A provider’s Ability to Execute is judged on its success in delivering on its promises, using the criteria such as product/ service, viability, marketing execution, and customer experience among others.
