Alight expands global footprint with NGA HR's acquisition

Alight expands global footprint with NGA HR's acquisition

Alight Solutions, a renowned health, wealth, and human capital management (HCM) has closed the deal to acquire NGA Human Resources, subject to customary closing stipulations.

NGA Human Resources is a global payroll services provider and a digital HR solutions company which has more than 4,500 employees in more than 35 countries, according to a press statement released by Alight. Alight happens to have about 10,000 employees with 19 global delivery centers majorly in North America and the APAC region. 

In light of the impending acquisition, Chris Michalak, CEO of Alight, said that the company wants to expand its set of core businesses and also provide a wide "breadth of solutions" related to the financial needs of a global HR function. Payroll capabilities can only be enhanced via new technologies and Michalak wants to ensure that that Alight is able to serve these quality products to corporations across the globe. 

With more than 250 business clients across the globe, NGA HR represents three million employees. This global digital HR conglomerate provides solutions to more than 188 countries. The technology hrX is the one that helps NGA HR provide a central cloud payroll solution for companies on a local level across 51 countries.

This intended transaction is expected to close in Q4. Goldman Sachs will be helping NGA HR as the exclusive financial adviser.

"Adding NGA's capabilities to Alight's will allow us to bring together our respective strengths and to provide greater value to our clients," said Andy Monshaw, CEO of NGA HR. "We are excited by the opportunities made possible by this combination." 

The two companies together aim to tackle the challenges of various HR professionals and provide a "powerful combination of services for large, complex, multi-national companies" across various platforms and geographies.
