The tech-based multinational recruitment services company is all set to strengthen its presence in APAC with another regional office in the region in Singapore. With a vision to be part of the APAC tech talent growth story, the Singapore office aims to become a talent gateway between SE Asia & the rest of the world.

The Singapore office will be led by Anupam Bhattacharya, who brings in more than 20 years of experience across Business and Financial leadership roles. In the past, he has been Regional CFO for large global companies like Monsanto and Carrier. Now, Bhattacharya has joined Catenon as Partner & Executive Director of Catenon APAC.

Catenon began its APAC operations with its first office in India in 2010, and now with its fifth APAC office in Singapore, both operations will work together along with other Catenon offices across the globe to focus on the recruitment needs of global and domestic customers across financial, technology, PE/VC, and Agri sectors.

Gaurav Chattur, Managing Director APAC, Catenon, shared, “Through the addition of our Singapore office, we look to grow by 30-40 percent CAGR in the coming years, and we are excited to have Anupam join us on this journey!”

“ASEAN is a very interesting market and with a Singaporean, in Anupam, on board we have someone who has a deep understanding of this market,” added Chattur.

In 2016, Bhattacharya founded Ascent Advisory Services Pte Ltd, a consulting firm in Singapore focussed on India, SEA and ANZ markets. After spending most of his career as a seasoned CFO and business leader he has gained extensive experience in Asia across diverse industries. Now as he takes the responsibility of spearheading Catenon’s growth in Singapore and ASEAN, Bhattacharya is excited about the future.

Anupam Bhattacharya, Partner & Executive Director (APAC), Catenon said, “Over the past couple of years, I received numerous queries for talent acquisition and referrals, and this trend has only been increasing. I was keen to explore this opportunity and find a partner to cater to the rising recruitment need as Singapore continues on its growth journey.”

“I am excited to be on board with Catenon,” he exclaimed.

As Bhattacharya looks forward to explore the ASEAN talent opportunity, he feels that Catenon’s global reach and experience can be leveraged to create a talent bridge to Singapore, especially for Tech and high-potential talent.

Globally the highly skilled technology professionals together form a small group for which not just companies but various economies are competing. Recently, Singapore’s Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing had raised the concern that in the raise to attract global tech talent, "if Singapore sits back and does nothing, we will almost certainly be left behind.”

With the demand of such Tech and high-potential talent being higher than ever and their supply falling short, how does Catenon fulfil its aspiration to ride the ASEAN tech talent growth story is to look forward to.
