State of HR in Latin America: GOintegro

About 60 percent of the respondents to Gointegro’s Latin American HR Tech Study said that the reason behind adopting HR tech in the region is to boost business growth and expansion. Other reasons such as cost reduction which were cited as the top most priority in previous years has become less important.

HR leaders from companies of various sectors across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay, participated in the online survey conducted by GOintegro, Latin America’s leading Employee Experience Platform.

As HR tech is coming to the leaders’ rescue in completing redundant tasks, HR teams are now more involved in the strategizing part of the business. About 50 percent of HR professionals revealed that they are participative in the process of digital transformation.

“The results not only show that Latin American organizations are keeping up with technology advancement, but that HR teams are taking the lead inside their companies to successfully drive digital transformation,” said German Dyzenchauz, CEO & Co-founder, GOintegro.

Why HR tech?

  • HR technologies have been primarily used to simplify (59 percent) and streamline (49 percent) HR processes in addition to enhancing employee experience (48 percent).
  • The top three HR areas where technological solutions were incorporated include: personnel management (64 percent), recruitment and selection (55 percent), and internal communication (53 percent).
  • One-tenth of the respondents said that they use machine learning, charbots, and artificial intelligence as a part of their HR tech solutions.
  • Other favorite solutions included: corporate social networks (55 percent), cloud-based software (50 percent), and mobile (30 percent).

Key takeaway

As digital transformation becomes the name of the game, companies in the Latin American region have started to tackle the challenges of a dynamically changing world of work and investing in HR tech solutions which would not only free up the HR leaders’ time to concentrate on people development and strategizing about business growth but also to stay ahead of the curve in an increasingly competitive landscape.
