UK-based recruitment firm Acorn has elevated Emily Meredith as the new Group Head of HR. Prior to her new role, she was working as the HR adviser and HR manager at Acorn.

As the new Group head of HR, she will be tasked with revamping and future proofing the company’s infrastructure.

Bernard Ward, Managing Director at Acorn, said, “The UK jobs market has experienced unprecedented pressures in recent times and the team here at Acorn has worked really hard to maintain flexibility and respond to the needs of our highly valued clients nationwide throughout that time.”

Meredith boasts a portfolio of almost two decades of experience working in the HR industry and will be working on Acorn’s internal structures and processes to usher the company into unchartered waters in the post-pandemic world.

Emily Meredith, GCHRO, Acorn, said, “I believe in forming great relationships with people at all levels of the business, and with our external partners too, and I’m always striving to make improvements and find solutions.”

She also added that by delivering on their HR strategy, Acorn will be able to add real value to the business, and she is looking forward to supporting her  fantastic colleagues in achieving more of this at what is a critical time for the organisation.
