SOCAR Mobility Malaysia names Shylendra Nathan as the new Chief Executive Officer

SOCAR Mobility Malaysia names Shylendra Nathan as the new Chief Executive Officer

Car Rental service platform SOCAR Mobility Malaysia has announced the appointment of Shylendra Nathan as its new Chief Executive Officer of the company. He will be reporting to SOCAR Mobility Malaysia's board of directors led by chairman Max Choi Myoung Hwa.

As the new CEO, Shylendra will oversee the overall operations of the group which includes SOCAR as well as TREVO, the company’s car-sharing app.

A digital veteran, Shylendra boasts of twenty-four years of experience in the Internet and Communications Technology (ICT) field. He dedicated fifteen years of his career to building Internet marketplaces in Southeast Asia and South Asia. 

Max Choi Myoung Hwa, Chairman, SOCAR, said, “We are pleased to welcome Shylendra to the team at Socar Mobility Malaysia. We are confident that his leadership will further strengthen Socar's goal to optimise the use of car-sharing and expand the acceptance of peer-to-peer car rental via Trevo, enabling multiflex mobility to serve the needs of drivers by offering access to a wide range of car models to suit their different mobility needs.”

“With his strong background in technology and expertise in product development, we foresee that he will lead the current team towards greater heights in developing services and features that will further enhance consumer affinity to Socar and Trevo and elevate customer satisfaction,” he added.

Shylendra was most recently the general manager of REA Group Malaysia, where he was operating iProperty.com Malaysia Sdn Bhd setup, which was acquired by PropertyGuru Group. 

He was also the Head of Agency Relations and then, Industry Head of Technology, Telco and Government at Google.
