Global people development firm Cornerstone OnDemand announced last week that it has integrated with digital workflow technology provider ServiceNow, allowing users to access CSOD learning tools via ServiceNow with immediate effect. The integration will remove the barrier of having to switch between platforms when learning during work, and will also allow employees or their managers to track the progress of training from either platform. This essentially makes it easier and less disruptive for users of the two platforms to access training on demand.

“Integrated with ServiceNow, we can now offer our customers and their people a more streamlined experience between the two platforms,” said Heidi Spirgi, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, Cornerstone. “Employees will now be able to launch training directly from the ServiceNow Employee Service Center. This is a critical step in realizing our learning in the flow of work vision by bringing learning directly to the employee in their work and productivity tools.”

Gretchen Alarcon, VP and GM, HR Service Delivery, ServiceNow, said that with continuous learning and development becoming a greater priority for HR, the need for technology that streamlines access to services is essential. "Our integration with Cornerstone creates unified digital experiences, so employees can easily access the trainings they need directly in the tools they’re already using—boosting productivity and satisfaction,” she said.

Learning and development service providers have emphasized the use of technology to promote a culture of continuous learning for several years now, a shift that has—like many other moves toward digitalization—accelerated this year as a result of COVID-19.
