“This is a unique moment in history,” Bayeux began, adding that what the pandemic did was accelerate things that were already in process. “We knew the digital transformation was coming. It hit India first and hardest.”

Among the many important and relevant topics that were discussed at TechHR India 2022, Asia’s largest HR and work tech conference, one of the most important ones revolved around learning and development.

In her talk at the conference, Annee Bayeux, Chief Learning Strategist, Degreed, spoke about The Future of Learning: 3 Principles for an Agile L&D.

Degreed is a learning and skill-building platform. Degreed brings together broad development options spanning self-directed learning to long-term deep skilling to required training so organizations can meet goals and evolve as the business demands.

“This is a unique moment in history,” Bayeux began, adding that what the pandemic did was accelerate things that were already in process. “We knew the digital transformation was coming. It hit India first and hardest.”

She then went on to speak more about how quickly the world is changing, even showing a screenshot from the BBC that showed “Emoji translator” as an actual work title.

Bayeux also went on to speak about the major factors that she thinks the future of learning is driven by. “We think the future of learning is driven by demand, woven into work and powered by people,” she said.

She wrapped up her talk by speaking about “Growth Hacking”. “Growth hacking is the fusion of data and testing, creative marketing, coding and automation and behavioural psychology,” she said, explaining more about the importance of new skills along with portable skills.
