Nutanix hires new Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand
Hybrid multi cloud computing company Nutanix has announced the appointment of Jim Steed as the new managing director for Australia and New Zealand. In his new role, Steed will be expected to shape the company’s business strategy for global and ANZ, keeping an eagle eye on growing market share, revenue growth and profitability.
He will be responsible for company’s strategic networks & partnerships in the region while looking specifically for enterprising customers and local channel partners in technology.
“Jim knows, loves and understands how to win with Nutanix, including how to engage channel partners, and is ideally suited to take on our ANZ leadership role, His experience, combined with our ANZ team’s knowledge of the local market, is a winning combination that will help more organisations in ANZ realise cloud as an operating model, along with the simplicity and freedom of choice Nutanix’ hybrid multi cloud offering enables,” said Nutanix vice president of ASEAN, ANZ & India, Neville Vincent.
Prior to the elevation, Steed was headlining Nutanix US’s director of public sector sales, North Carolina office. Before his association with Nutanix, Steed was vice president of sales, public sector at Apeiron Data Systems from 2015 to 2019, and senior vice president of fibre optic company 186 Communications from 2012 to 2015. Steed also counts Oracle and Cisco as its previous employers.
Based in Sydney, Steed will officially commence as managing director in February. He will report directly to Neville Vincent, Nutanix vice president of ASEAN, ANZ and India.
