Data platform provider Cloudera has announced the appointment of ex-Crayon Australia's CEO Keir Garrett as the new Vice President for Australia and New Zealand.

Garrett boasts more than two decades of experience in sales & executive roles in the Tech sector.  In her new role, She will be kickstarting growth strategies within their cloud and on-premises environments while supporting end-user databases. 

Prior to Cloudera, she was the CEO of Crayon Australia for two years from 2020 to 2022. Before that, she was Datacom’s head of software, cloud, advisory, professional and managed services sales. Garrett was also at Microsoft for three years, first as its New Zealand business platform sales manager and then as its New Zealand digital transformation manager. She also counts SAP and Infor as her previous employers.

For the uninitiated, Cloudera, Inc. is an American software company providing enterprise data management with a global presence and clientele. As of January 31, 2021, the company boasts of approximately 1,800 customers,  who require their expertise in Business intelligence tools, Data visualisation tools, Analytics tools, Big data tools and Data warehousing tools.

Garret will be based out of Sydney, Australia.
