Southeast Asia’s on-demand platform Gojek has appointed Sumit Rathor as General Manager for Vietnam.

Rathore was earlier serving the company as SVP Operations for Indonesia and Vietnam. He has succeeded Duc Phung, the Co-founder and former General Manager of Gojek. The outgoing general manager is taking up new professional responsibility outside Gojek.

In his new role, Rathore will be responsible for leading the operations and focus on business sustainability in Vietnam. He comes with more than 20 years of experience in financial and strategic planning, business process transformation and project management, lean management, building, development and mentoring teams, blockchain and smart contract, and operations and finance.

Rathore started his association with Gojek in 2019 as the Regional Head of Gojek, Indonesia and then moved on to lead the merchant, marketing and strategy functions in Vietnam in 2022.
