Sainursalwa Sani (Salwa) is a seasoned practitioner with an in-depth knowledge on subject matters relating to strategic human capital management. She carries with her a total of 21 years of experience; with strong demonstration of strategic, tactical and operational on human capital matters. Salwa has always been attracted to organizations undergoing transformation journey; with her mantra of ‘defying the odds’; and a strong believer of ‘do things differently’.  She adapts well in the organization and is well-known for her people-centred personality.  

She is known as a subject matter expert in driving high performing organization, strategic workforce planning, total rewards strategy, talent and leadership development and employer branding. Frequent guest speaker and panellist for conferences; both locally and abroad.

Presently, Salwa is instrumental to bring a catalytic change to the Bank via transformative initiatives on talent management and development, workplace climate engagement and also activation of culture initiatives. As Group Chief Human Capital Officer (GCHCO); her contributions have been positively recognized by the Board of Directors, Board Nomination and Compensation Committee and Management with an array of outstanding and commendable deliverables including but not limited to Total Rewards and Benefits Review, digitalization of human capital, acculturation of SMILE Core Values as the Brand, leadership coaching culture and driving high performing organization.
