Elon Musk to join Twitter’s board of directors
As the largest stakeholder in Twitter after buying a 9.2% stake, Elon Musk will join the board of directors, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Everest Group appoints HR veteran Swapna Allapur as Chief People Officer
Earlier this week, Global research firm Everest Group appointed HR industry veteran Swapna Allapur as the new Chief People Officer. In her new role, she would be responsible for the human resources strategy and operations for the firm, which employs nearly 400 people across the U.S., Canada, Europe, India and Latin America.
Mark Murphy to join Micron Technology as EVP and CFO
Earlier this week, Micron Technology, a leading player in memory and storage solutions, announced that it is appointing Mark Murphy as the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer effective April 18, 2022.
Murphy, with 25 years of financial and operational leadership to the role, will oversee Micron’s financial strategy for the company’s next era of growth, said a company release.
Emeritus appoints Bhushan Heda as chief technology officer
Earlier this week, Edtech firm Emeritus has announced the appointment of Bhushan Heda as chief technology officer (CTO), reporting to Emeritus's co-founder and CEO, Ashwin Damera.
Heda will drive the technology strategy of Emeritus and its group companies and lead the global technology teams across five business functions: product management, product ops, engineering, data, and enterprise IT.
Aviva hires Charlotte Jones as new Chief Financial Officer
Earlier this week, Insurance bigwigs Aviva appointed Charlotte Jones as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director with effect from 5 September 2022. The appointment has taken forward post previous CFO Jason Windsor’s departure and until that date, Colin Simpson, currently the CFO of Aviva Canada, will act as Interim CFO of the company.
Previously, Charlotte was Chief Financial Officer of RSA Insurance plc and Interim Chief Executive Officer of the RSA UK & International business.
Fujitsu promotes ANZ CEO to head APAC region
Earlier this week, Fujitsu announced the promotion of ANZ CEO Graeme Beardsell to Executive Vice President and CEO for the Asia Pacific region excluding Japan, effective from 1 April.
The appointment is part of yet another global restructuring - the fourth in the last decade, and the second time in five years that the IT services giant has overhauled its global management structure.
Yogesh Patgaonkar joins Persistent Systems as chief people officer
Earlier this week, Persistent Systems, a global leader in digital engineering, has appointed Yogesh Patgaonkar as chief people officer.
Sameer Bendre, formerly chief people officer, will now take on the role of chief of operations with the responsibility for overseeing Persistent’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and risk management priorities as well as the company’s enterprise information systems and administration functions.
