Acceleration Partners appoints Suparna Basu-Ravis as chief people officer
Global partnership marketing agency Acceleration Partners (AP) has announced the appointment of Suparna Basu-Ravis as its Chief People Officer and Global Head of Human Resources. The role is a newly created one and the appointment has been effective as of June 2022.
Basu-Ravis and her global HR team will be responsible for building and optimising a global talent strategy. Her major focus areas will be strategic workforce planning, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and quality and data-driven practices.
She will lead culture and engagement, enable leadership accountability, and drive change. In addition, she will be responsible for delivering inclusive new hire and employee experiences while navigating complex regulatory markets in support of international locations.
With expertise in human resources, executive recruiting, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) practices, Basu-Ravis most recently served as Senior Vice President - Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Investor Services at Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) from June 2011 to June 2022.
She also served as Head of Human Resources for Service Delivery and Technology, a global workforce of over 4,000 employees. Prior to BBH, Basu-Ravis worked at Moody's, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in various roles.

According to Basu-Ravis, a Bachelor of Science degree holder from Pennsylvania State University, the macroeconomic complexity, clubbed with geopolitical uncertainty and much needed emphasis on social matters have led to it being loud and clear that we as employers and leaders not only have a responsibility, but an impetus to get the employee lifecycle right. She adds that never has HR been more challenging, different, or new, especially at this pace.
Earlier, to strengthen its existing suite of partnership marketing services, Acceleration Partners acquired Grovia, based in Seattle. The acquisition of Grovia marked the third acquisition for Acceleration Partners since partnering with Mountaingate Capital two years ago.
