Altron names Nicholas Bofilatos as CFO and Van Graan as Chairman
Technology Solutions provider, Altron has announced the appointment of Nicholas Bofilatos as Group Chief Financial Officer with effect from 29th July. Bofilatos has been a part of the company since 2019 assuming varied roles like Finance Specialist, Executive: Finance Change Management, and Head of Central Finance. He has over 15 years of work experience in finance leadership positions, the IT and services industry, as well as an External Auditor.
Bofilatos replaces Cedric Miller, and will drive Altron’s 2.0 strategy of tripling operating income, maintaining a net debt to EBITDA ratio of less than 1, and will contribute to Altron becoming a judicious and responsible Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance company. He is a chartered accountant by profession and has academic degrees in commerce and accounting sciences.
Stewart van Graan has also been brought onboard as Altron’s Chairman effective from 28th July. He currently heads the Altron Social Ethics and Sustainability Committee. Since 2017, Van Graan has been the independent non-executive director of the Altron Board and a member of the Altron Audit Committee, the Altron Risk Committee, and the Altron Investment Committee. He has replaced Mike Leeming after his retirement. Van Graan’s career speaks of a commercial success-oriented technological background and approach.
Before his stint at Altron, Van Graan was the Managing Director of Dell South Africa. His list of accolades also includes being the Vice President for the Enterprise Solutions business in the EMEA Emerging Markets. Vaan Graan has also been a respected member of the advisory board of the University of Stellenbosch Business School and a part of the board of non-profit organization Christel House school in Cape Town.
