AmMetLife Insurance Berhad appointed Lee Jiau Jiunn as its Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2021.

Lee is currently the Chief Financial Officer of AmMetLife and succeeds Ramzi Toubassy, who will leave to pursue an external opportunity.

Lee joined AmMetLife after 14 years with AIA in Malaysia and Taiwan. Prior to this, he held actuarial roles in both Malaysia and New Zealand insurance sectors.

In announcing the appointment, Elena Butarova, MetLife’s Regional Head of Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal and Vietnam said, “Lee is the right executive to continue to lead AmMetLife’s transformation into a company that is continually innovating to meet customer expectations.”
