Aon names Jennifer Richards CEO of Asia Pacific

Global professional services firm Aon has appointed Jennifer Richards as CEO of Asia Pacific, effective 1 March. She takes over from Anne Corona, who transitions into the role of CEO of enterprise clients and global chief commercial officer.

In her new capacity, Richards will collaborate with the Asia Pacific Executive Committee to drive business expansion, enhance client value, and execute Aon’s 3x3 Plan – a strategy designed to strengthen capabilities across its solution lines.

Richards will report to Lori Goltermann, CEO of Regions, and become a member of Aon’s Executive Committee. She is set to relocate from Australia to Singapore in the coming months.

Poised for regional leadership

In her 13 years at Aon Australia, Richards has built a strong reputation for fostering key client relationships and driving growth.

Most recently, she led the Australian business in embedding Aon’s 3x3 Plan and spearheading initiatives to help clients navigate risk and workforce challenges.

Her leadership acumen and strategic vision position her well for this regional leadership role.

Commenting on the appointment, Goltermann highlighted the strategic importance of the Asia Pacific region.

“The Asia Pacific region is critical to Aon’s strategy, representing significant growth opportunities across a diverse market,” Goltermann said.

“Jennifer’s experience, Aon United mindset and ability to build and inspire high-performing teams position her to lead the Asia Pacific region to continued success.”

Building on Aon's momentum in APAC

Richards brings a wealth of global experience to her new role. Before joining Aon, she held senior management positions at AIG in North America, overseeing Financial Institutions and M&A businesses.

Earlier in her career, she practiced corporate and securities law at Sidley Austin LLP in New York City, equipping her with a strong foundation in regulatory and transactional complexities.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, Richards said: “I am excited to work even more closely with this exceptional team and look forward to collaborating with such talented colleagues across the region.

“There is so much opportunity in the Asia Pacific region, and together we will build on our existing momentum and accelerate our ability to help our clients navigate the multi-faceted, complex and interconnected challenges they face,” the incoming CEO added.

Aon said it remains committed to helping clients make better decisions by leveraging data-driven insights, globally integrated expertise in risk and human capital, and locally relevant solutions.

Operating in over 120 countries, the firm works to provide clarity and confidence to firms aiming to thrive in an increasingly complex business environment.
