Carlyle Group to hire ex-Goldman executive Harvey Schwartz as CEO
Global investment firm Carlyle Group Inc. (CG) looks set to rope in Harvey Schwartz, former Goldman Sachs President, as its next Chief Executive Officer. His appointment as CEO is expected to be officially announced soon.
Carlyle Group Inc was looking for a CEO since the departure of Kewsong Lee in August last year.
William Conway, Co-Founder, Non-Executive Co-Chairman of the Board, and former Co-CEO, is serving as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Carlyle Group.
Schwartz has a two-decade career at the investment bank where he juggled leadership roles between Chief Financial Officer and global co-head of its trading division. Schwartz joined Goldman in 1997.
