CTOS, a credit reporting agency in Malaysia, has appointed seasoned talent leader Premila Sivam to the role of group chief people officer.

Having ascended through the ranks in the past 20 years, Sivam brings with her a diverse range of leadership and functional expertise from her days at DHL Express, where she started her career, through her years at institutions like HSBC, Pos Malaysia, GLG and now, CTOS.

Sivam’s specialisations over the years include HR management, performance management, and compensation & benefits strategy, but she has also spent years steeped in training and development roles.

Before Sivam’s appointment as CHRO, she was based in Brunei as the HR director and a consultant for the global information services group GLG. There, she spearheaded programmes on organisational development, employer branding, total rewards strategies, and stakeholder management, among others.

Her previous senior leadership roles include serving as senior vice president - head of people at Pos Malaysia; senior vice president and HR director at Techcombank; regional head of talent management at AECOM; and vice president of people, culture and academy at HSBC. Her foray in talent development came at DHL Express.

Sivam describes herself as a “versatile and passionate people, culture [and] change champion, experience architect, and human resource leader”.
