Elastic names Joanna Daly chief human resources officer

Elastic, a platform for search-powered solutions, has announced the appointment of Joanna Daly as chief human resources officer (CHRO) effective July 18.

In her new role as CHRO, Daly will be responsible for Elastic's human resources (HR) strategy and operations, talent management, and compensation and benefits. As the head of the Elastic HR team, Daly’s focus will be on supporting scalable growth of the company, building on the existing strong foundation.

Daly comes with more than 20 years of global HR experience, including HR leadership roles in IBM’s consulting and technology businesses and the company’s compensation and talent organizations.

Most recently, Daly served as vice president of total rewards at IBM, where she held global responsibility for the design and delivery of all compensation and benefits programs in addition to corporate health and safety for their employees. Daly has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and a Master of Business Administration, both from Syracuse University.

“Joanna’s leadership, insights, and perspective from over 20 years of global HR leadership in the technology industry will be instrumental to the long-term success of our business and culture, and deliver on our goal of becoming a generational company,” said Ash Kulkarni, CEO, Elastic.
