SINGAPORE – Global employment solutions specialist G-P has named seasoned human capital management expert Johannes Eckold as its new partner director.

Eckold will spearhead G-P’s strategic partnerships as the company expands its global market presence and supports employers that are on their own growth trajectory.

“I’ll be working on building meaningful partnerships for G-P to help businesses expand regionally and globally and connect with great talent – without all the usual headaches of hiring abroad,” Eckold said in a LinkedIn post announcing his appointment.

“G-P is the market leading Employer of Record, doing great things to simplify hiring across countries.”

An Employer of Record, or EoR, is a third-party firm that legally hires employees in a particular country on behalf of another organisation that aims to establish its footprint in that market.

The EoR, serving as the legal employer of local talent, is responsible for handling requirements specific to that market, such as compliance, compensation and benefits, and tax processing.

Enlisting an EoR to manage administrative duties eases the pressure on the part of businesses that would otherwise have to go through a host of regulatory requirements in order to enter a new market.

Supporting workforce expansion in new markets

In his new role, Eckold will also develop and execute go-to-market strategies to ensure the seamless integration of EoR solutions and unlock new revenue streams.

An important part of the mission is advising clients on workforce expansion in new markets, providing them with insights and expertise on compliance, talent mobility, and market entry strategies.

Eckold will also lead collaboration between sales, marketing and product teams to strengthen partner enablement and accelerate business growth.

“I’ve always enjoyed working with partners to create value together, and this role is all about that,” Eckold said.

“I’m passionate about making global talent more accessible and clearing the hurdles,” he added.

Before joining G-P, Eckold served as Director of HCM strategy and transformation for Oracle for nearly five years, where he was in charge of the go-to-market plan and business development strategy for Oracle’s HCM Cloud offering across ASEAN and North Asia, which includes Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea.

Eckold describes his mission as “enabling HR for tomorrow’s world”. He specialises in HR transformation, HR technology, talent management, and employee engagement.

Record momentum and growth

G-P has been on a growth trajectory, after having closed the fourth quarter of 2024 with a 289% increase in revenue growth over the past four years. The quarter is thus the company’s best ever.

The past year has seen G-P building its EoR and global employment solutions with features powered by artificial intelligence.

The firm recently unveiled its tool, G-P Gia, touted as the world’s first AI-powered HR compliance adviser.

“G-P recognises AI’s pivotal role in shaping the future of business and humanity, and in 2024, we introduced groundbreaking AI products and innovations that are paving the way for the next era of HR and empowering the future of work,” said Nicole Sahin, founder and CEO of G-P.

“In the face of complex business demands and challenges, we’re enabling more organisations than ever to thrive in the global economy and seize every opportunity for their business,” the leader said.

“G-P has a history of innovation and seeing around corners in preparation for what’s next. And we’re proud to continue to bring new products to market while remaining profitable and cashflow positive, with a continuously accelerating growth trajectory.”
