Automobile manufacturing company Nissan Motor India has announced the appointment of Mohan Wilson as Director Marketing, Product and Customer Experience effective July 1. Prior to this, Wilson was working as the head of Global Marketing Planning at Nissan Motor Corporation's premium car brand INFINITI at its global headquarter in Japan.

In the new role, Wilson will replace Sriram Padmanabhan, the company said in a statement. He will be operating out of Chennai and will report to Managing Director Rakesh Srivastava. The leadership was shuffled following the appointment of Padmanabhan as the Director Marketing, Product and Customer Experience for Nissan Motor Australia. There he will report to the Nissan Australia MD Adam Paterson.

Business Standard quoted the company stating that Wilson will be responsible for "transformation of the India business on future product strategy for India, build a strong brand with a focus on customer experience and will leverage his experience gained at Nissan Motor Corporation's Global HQ office in Yokohama, Japan.”

Commenting on Wilson's appointment, Srivastava said "his global exposure on premium cars would be key to build Nissan brand with a focus on customer experience on Nissan next transformation".

Wilson has a huge span of experience which counts more than twenty-five years. Prior to joining Nissan, he was associated with the global automaker Audi.
