OCS names Ryme Dembri as CHRO for Asia Pacific & Middle East

Global facilities solutions company OCS has announced the appointment of Ryme Dembri as Chief Human Resources Officer for the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, effective May 15, 2024.

Ryme brings over 25 years of HR leadership experience encompassing organisation development, strategic HR, talent management, workforce planning, and fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions. In her new role, she will lead the development of talent needs and strategy as well as implement an effective HR delivery model. She will also contribute to the company's M&A agenda, aiming to drive revenue growth and profitability through enhancing human capabilities in the region.

In her previous roles, Ryme served as the Head of Leadership, Talent & Culture for ASM in Singapore, Global Head of Talent and Organisational Performance at Dole Sunshine Company in Singapore, Head of HR and Vice President for EMEA operations at Whirlpool Corporation, Vice President and Head of HR for Singapore at Philips Lighting, and Senior Director of Organisational Effectiveness and Senior Director of HR Strategy & HRO at Philips in Amsterdam. She also serves as a member of the HR committee for various organisations in Singapore. At the beginning of her career, she worked with Demos Group, PwC France, and Softmatic Germany.

On the academic front, Ryme holds a master’s degree in HR Development from Pantheon-Sorbonne University, a bachelor’s degree in European Business Management from the University of Hamburg, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Administration, and HR from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne.

In addition to the new CHRO appointment, the group has also named Alexandre Gerard as the Chief Finance Officer for APAC and the Middle East, effective May 13, 2024. In his new role, he will focus on optimising financial performance, driving revenue growth, and maximising profitability in the regions. He possesses over two decades of expertise, having worked with leading organisations in Asia, including APM as the Chief Operating Officer, Grand Royal Group as the CFO, Christian Bernard Group as the Asia CFO, ECCO as the CFO for Indonesia and Thailand, SDV Logistics as the Managing Director, and Alcan Packaging as the Regional Finance Director. On the academic front, he holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and a master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Rochester.
