P&G names Bala Purushothaman as the new CHRO
Procter & Gamble (P&G) has named Bala Purushothaman as the new chief human resources officer (CHRO). His appointment to the post will be effective from January 1, 2023. He will succeed Tracey Grabowski who is set to retire from Procter & Gamble at the end of the year after a career spanning more than 33 years.
“It is a tremendous honor for me to share that I will serve as the next chief human resources officer at Procter & Gamble, effective January 1,” Purushothaman posted on Linkedin.
Purushothaman, who is currently working as senior vice president-HR, Global Total Rewards, Employee and Labour Relations and orporate Services, will lead the Company’s people and organisation strategy including the development of diverse talent, capability, systems, and a culture that drives innovation and productivity to support P&G’s business strategy and people across more than 70 countries.
Since starting as an intern in human resources at P&G more than 30 years ago, Purushothaman has held positions of increasing responsibility at the country, region and global levels, while living and working across North America, Europe, and Asia.
He holds MBA in Human Resources from Xavier Labour Relations Institute.
