The U.S based cybersecurity company, Carbon Black appoints long-time company leader Sandra O'Sullivan as its Chief People Officer (CPO).

In her new role, O'Sullivan will oversee talent development and management, recruiting, total rewards, diversity and inclusion, as well as culture and organizational development strategies for the company.

Carbon Black President and CEO Patrick Morley shares, "With extensive knowledge in professional services and customer success, as well as a long history with Carbon Black, Sandra is fully equipped to take on her newest role in human resources."

"She's passionate about maintaining our strong company culture and developing diversity and inclusion, and we're excited to see what she'll bring to this position," adds Morley.

O'Sullivan joined Carbon Black back in 2012 and most recently was working as company's Vice President of Customer Success. She has led a team responsible for providing a superior experience for customers through cross-functional collaboration with support, services, product and engineering.

Now, O'Sullivan steps into a new role as previous CPO, Amy Robinson establishes a new function within Carbon Black focused on leadership coaching. Robinson will directly advise the career development and advancement of Carbon Black employees at all levels around the world.

With the changes in their leadership team and the introduction of a new function, Carbon Black looks to revisit their people strategy, both in terms of planning and execution.

Robinson has led the people agenda for the company and has been influential in the evolution of the company's culture over the years. Under her leadership, the company has been named as the best place to work. Now in her new role, she will focus on employees' learning and growth and enable the organization to be more skilled.

While Robinson's focus will now be on the development of employees, O'Sullivan has to take care of the entire people agenda of the organization and look after the overall people strategy of the company. O'Sullivan has to take ahead the legacy of Carbon Black as one of the best employer's and ensure that the company is not only able to sustain its position but also able become better and better in terms of its people practices every day.

What new policies and initiatives Robinson introduces and how she innovates and further transforms Carbon Black's people strategy is to look forward to.
