Santhosh Vishwanathan named Managing Director-Sales, Marketing & Communications Group, Intel India

US-based chipmaker Intel Corporation has appointed  Santhosh Viswanathan as Managing Director-Sales, Marketing and Communications Group, for its India unit,  the company said in a statement. 

In his new role, Santhosh will be tasked with Intel’s overall business in India and be responsible for driving new revenue opportunities, engaging with the local communities, and consolidating existing customer and partner relationships. 

Boasting a two-decade career at Intel, Santhosh was previously vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific Japan region. He started his journey at Intel as the Channel Account Manager and has managed a variety of roles, ranging from Distribution Manager, Regional Manager, Chief Of Staff to Global Director of Operations for the Regional Sales Group and now as the new Managing Director - SMG at Intel India.

“Having started my Intel career in India about two decades ago, this is really an exciting homecoming for me. I am thrilled to be able to lead our operations here to tap into India’s explosive growth at this critical technology inflection point in its digital transformation journey,” Vishwanathan said.

He also added that Intel aims to show how technology will make a difference to one of the most important markets in the region. 

Santhosh graduated in Industrial Engineering and Management from B.M.S College of Engineering and has a master’s degree in Business Administration from T.A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal, Karnataka.
