SG’s MyRepublic strengthens its core leadership team, appoints new Group CIRO and CTO
A Singapore based communication services provider, MyRepublic, fills newly created leadership roles as it charts the next growth phase. Jeannie Ong is appointed as Group Chief Investor Relations Officer and Tun Tun Myint joins the team as Group Chief Technology Officer. Ong and Myint will join the company through its Singapore office, both the roles are effective immediately.
Jeannie Ong's appointment as Group Chief Investor Relations Officer
Ong is an IR veteran who comes with years of industry experience. In her new role, she will be responsible for building and nurturing strong and meaningful relationships with investors and stakeholders and lead the company's corporate communication department. Her role will be critical to the company’s short-term goals as MyRepublic considers Initial Public Offering in the near future.
Ong feels delighted and honored to join MyRepublic's team as the company steers towards growth and digital transition phase. She looks forward to working closely with the team as they roll out growth plans in Singapore and across the region.
Malcolm Rodrigues, Group CEO of MyRepublic, expressed his delight on Ong’s addition to the team. He also indicated that the new Group CIRO role supports the company’s strong intent of going public.
Ong, with over 25 years of experience, has served various leadership roles and gained expertise in corporate and investor relations, branding, marketing advisory and sustainability portfolios. Prior to MyRepublic, she worked as Chief Strategic Partnership Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at StarHub, where apart from many critical responsibilities, she was also a part of the management team that launched the company’s IPO in 2004.
Ong has also been recognized as the Best IRO in Singapore by IR Magazine, South East Asia and is the only Singaporean IRO who has made it to the list of 2015 Global Top 50 IROs.
Tun Tun Myint appointment as Group Chief Technology Officer
Myint's new role as CTO entails management and execution of the company's growth as the company embarks on the journey of next-generation digital telco. He is responsible for strengthening next-generation platform-as-a-service and telco-in-a-box solutions, enabling service providers to license in order to transform their own operational models.
The company aims to make its services more efficient and smoother for any digital user. Myint is thrilled on his promotion as CTO and looks forward to leading the team of talented engineers, aiming for exponential development in the digitized era.
Prior to joining MyRepublic, Myint worked as the Vice President of Network at Frontiir, an internet service provider based in Myanmar. He led the company's engineering and operations segment and played a crucial role in its growth.
Myint worked as Head of Engineering at MyRepublic for around 2 years before he moved to Frontiir. Myint expressed his excitement to be back to the team, now as Group Chief Technology Officer.
