Sun Life appoints Georgina Farrell as CHRO to boost Asia business

Sun Life has welcomed Georgina Farrell as its new chief human resources officer for Asia.
Farrell will begin her tenure on 1 May, leading the company’s talent and culture strategy across the region.
The HR leader will focus on talent development, organisational growth, and employee engagement to support Sun Life’s expansion in Asia, the company said.
Based in Sun Life’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong, Farrell will join both the Asia Executive Team and the HR Executive Team. She will report to Helena Pagano, EVP and chief people and culture officer, and Manjit Singh, president of Sun Life Asia.
Singh expressed confidence in Farrell’s appointment.
“We are delighted to welcome Georgina to Sun Life. As we grow and transform our Asia business, attracting and developing top talent and maintaining our strong culture is a key priority,” Singh said.
“Georgina is an outstanding HR leader with extensive experience designing and executing people strategies to deliver transformation and growth objectives internationally. I am confident she will be a significant contribution to the Sun Life Asia business.”
Farrell brings over 20 years of HR leadership experience across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Prior to joining Sun Life, she served as chief people officer for RSA’s UK, Ireland, and Europe operations, where she was instrumental in developing integrated people strategies to drive business growth.
“Sun Life has a strong reputation for innovation and excellence, and I am excited to lead the HR function across Asia,” Farrell said.
“Returning to the region presents an incredible opportunity to engage with talented employees and build people strategies that foster innovation and support Sun Life’s ambition to help more people in Asia achieve financial security and live healthier lives.”
