With supply chain experts on board, the global supply chain consultancy is set to escalate its strategy for growth across Asia.
TMX announces key leadership appointments in Asia

Global supply chain consultancy TMX has announced a line-up of leadership appointments in Asia as it looks to further accelerate the company’s growth momentum and strengthen customer confidence in the region.

Dean Jones has been appointed as managing director Asia and chair of Asia advisory board, and Carl Hemus as chief operating officer Asia. ‘

“Based in Bangkok, Thailand, both Dean and Carl will further establish TMX’s presence in Asia, building it as an Asian business backed by local industry expertise,” the company said in a statement.

Jones an enthusiastic business leader with extensive operational and corporate experience across APAC. He co-founded HelpDeliver, a digitally connected home healthcare company operating in Southeast Asia. He previously spent almost 18 years with Toll where he was the regional general manager for Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining TMX, Hemus was chief operating officer – digital cluster at Abu Dhabi Ports. A visionary COO of strategy, planning and optimisation, he has over 20 years’ experience in change management, project direction, operations analysis, solution design, transformation, and business development across the UK, EMEA and APAC. 

Gerry Power has been appointed director Asia and UK head of country, with Greg O’Shea leading TMX in Malaysia and Singapore as country manager.

Power has extensive global experience in logistics and supply chain. Before joining TMX, he had over 22 years’ experience with TNT where he was the Managing Director for Vietnam, Malaysia and then India. He then went on and worked for JSI Logistics, AirPortr, Toll Group, Orange Connex Global and most recently, Byrd. 

 O’Shea has over 30 years’ experience across Asia, Australia and the US with leading international retailers and multinational companies.  O’Shea’s expertise lies in creating industry changing solutions for emerging markets, having worked in several challenging environments such as Mexico, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Before joining TMX, he founded Grey Consulting, supporting manufacturers and retailers in digitising their supply chains. He is also a Council Member of the GS1 Malaysia Berhad.

In addition to the new appointments, TMX has made key executive leadership hires to equip the business with industry leading expertise. Arul Aruleswaran has recently joined as director, Asia – operation excellence, and Sam Conroy as director, Asia – Vietnam transformation & growth.

Aruleswaran is a specialist in business transformation, digital transformation, operational excellence, and project management. He has previously successfully led the transformation of a regional logistics service provider, achieving growth of €800m over five years. Prior to joining TMX, he was the director of transformation APAC for transport and logistics company GEODIS.

Conroy has over 25 years of logistics experience, spanning Asia, Americas and Australia. Prior to his role with TMX,  he has worked for global bands such as DHL, Toll and Maersk, where he has led teams and business growth in everything from eCommerce to Ocean freight to 3PL. Conroy will bring a wealth of experience in particular to our business in Vietnam.

With the region now predicted to contribute about half of the world's trade growth by 2030, TMX looks to play a crucial role in strengthening the agility and resilience of the region’s supply chains, and we are pleased to have a strong team of regional industry experts leading the way for us in Asia,” said TMX global CEO, Travis Erridge.

The company has worked with many brands in Asia, including Singapore Post, Schneider Electric, and Coca Cola Bottlers Japan Inc, to design and deliver supply chain optimisation solutions.  

Jones said he looks forward to leading the next era of business and supply chain transformations for customers in the region, especially as the region is now building back from the impacts of the pandemic.

“I am excited to have credible industry leaders, all with strong experience of working globally and in Asia, join a refreshed TMX Asia regional leadership team. Together, we are setting out to accelerate the adoption of digital and supply chain solutions in a diverse region that presents its own unique logistical challenges,” he added.
