Travel startup GetYourGuide appoints Genevieve Vancutsem-Zednik as Chief People Officer
GetYourGuide, a Germany-based travel startup, has announced the appointment of Genevieve Vancutsem-Zednik as the new Chief People Officer, effective from March 2024.
Genevieve, currently serving as Chief People Officer for Europe and Asia operations at Wayfair, brings over 23 years of experience. In her new role, she will be responsible for overall HR and People Strategy for the travel startup’s 800 employees across its 17 offices globally. She will also be responsible for the company’s expansion across the Americas and beyond by spearheading key strategic initiatives while balancing talent management and work culture. Her core competencies include talent management, employee relations, operational excellence, stakeholder management, HR policies, and labor and employment law.
In her previous roles, Genevieve worked at Deloitte as the Manager of HR Transformation, Zalando SE as the Talent Strategy leader, and CoMendo as Project Manager.
On the academic front, Genevieve holds an undergraduate degree in Political and Social Sciences, and a master's in International Business from Ghent University. She also graduated with a master's degree in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick.
