Zydus Lifesciences Ltd has appointed Punit Patel as President and Chief Executive Officer, Americas. 

Patel, a senior healthcare executive with experience in a dynamic and changing pharmaceutical market, is joining Zydus Lifesciences from Red Oak Sourcing, where he worked as president. 

At Read Oak, he took care of all aspects of Red Oak’s business including setting and implementing the strategic roadmap, overseeing supplier relationships, managing financial obligations as well as day-to-day operations, and coordinating and collaborating with Red Oak’s stakeholders – CVS Health and Cardinal Health. Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics and CVS Caremark are other organisations where Patel worked previously.

As the president and CEO, Patel will be responsible for taking care of the business operations of all Zydus entities in North America.

Patel is equipped with experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, FDA regulatory pathway, manufacturing (R&D), operations, reimbursement, product distribution, and payor strategy. 

Patel will be based out of the group's office in Pennington, New Jersey, US.
