Fast-growing mobile coaching startup BetterUp announced this week that it has appointed Dr. Gabriella Rosen Kellerman, MD, as Chief Product Officer. A psychiatrist by training, Dr. Kellerman will be responsible for leading the research and development of behavior change technology in BetterUp's programs.

Dr. Kellerman joined BetterUp in 2014 a member of its scientific advisory board, then as Chief Innovation Officer and head of the company's behavioral research laboratory, where she oversaw research on workplace loneliness, meaning and purpose, belonging, and resilience. Prior to that, she was a member of Castlight Health's clinical advisory board and headed its development of behavioral health and clinical products. She also co-founded the digital health company LifeLink and worked in the World Health Organization's Department of Violence Prevention.

Her work has been published in The Atlantic, Scientific American Mind, JAMA, and the Harvard Business Review. She has been profiled in Inc Magazine, and featured on CNBC, Entrepreneur, and Forbes.
